When it comes to eating your favorite foods, and knowing that there is the possibility that you have to share, or you’re asking someone to share with you, there are certain things that you should consider. Some food practices are downright rude, while others will make the offeree very annoyed with you. Especially if they’re dining on their favorite treat. Here are some things to avoid:

Ice cream digs: This is when a person deliberately digs for all of the tasty additives that make or break ice cream such as cookie bits, chocolate chips, marshmallows, etc. Be considerate. Unless it’s a pint for yourself, I’m pretty sure the next person would like a brownie bit too. My sister used to take all of the marshmallows from the Lucky Charms when we were kids, leaving me the cereal bits. I hated that.

Taking a huge bit out of the middle of someone’s sandwich: Now come on. Everyone knows that the best part of a sandwich is the middle! It’s where all of the meats, veggies, and sauces coalesce into one bite of pure yumminess. If you ask for a bite of someone’s sandwich, don’t take that bite! Bite the edge; some people get very territorial with their food.

Double dipping: Now, this one depends on the person you’re sharing with. Some people don’t mind things like double dipping a fry. Sometimes, the fry just isn’t as good with no ketchup or whatever sauce you use. What’s the point of eating topping-less nachos? You may as well eat a bag of tortilla chips by themselves. Again, it depends on the person.

Do you have any more annoyances/food rules?
