Pool Games? Check. Bathing suits? Check. Fab food? Check! Pool?? Duh.
Get ready Preston Grove! The Preston Grove INFAMOUS Pool Party kicks off tomorrow afternoon at 1 pm. It’s going to be soooo much fun!
And you know a party isn’t a party without party games, and we’re bringing back some of your favorites! The Frozen T-Shirt game, Whip and Blow, and Water Balloon Toss to name a few! You know that we have some tricks up our sleeve!
There will be plenty of food, but don’t go swimming right after eating! It’s not fun, lol. Trust me. I don’t know how much merit the whole, ‘wait 30 minutes after eating’ rule holds, but just know, eating after swimming isn’t a good feeling. :c/
So get your swimsuits and you funny bones ready, because it’s going to be AMAZING!
See you tomorrow!
Make your mom breakfast on Mother’s Day

Have you ever run into the hassle of trying to find your mom the perfect Mother’s Day gift? Well, I’ve learned from experience that the smallest things mean a lot. Why don’t you try cooking your mom a Mother’s Day breakfast. You can make all of her favorite foods, and even dress the table with flowers to give her the cafe feel. If you’re better at following a recipe, here’s a tasty one for a sweet and savory French toast. I hope that your mom enjoys, and if you’re a mom, who knows, maybe you’ll get this flaky treat baked for you on your day.
Iron Man 2

Now, I can admit that I’m a marvel/superhero movie fanatic. My absolute favorite superhero movie of all time is a tie with ‘Batman’ (the one with Jack Nicholson) and ‘The Dark Knight’. Obviously I’m a Batman fan. But I’m up for anything new.
I did not see the first Iron Man, but I’ve heard good things about it. After seeing this trailer, I think that I may give it a chance. If the sequel is promising to be better than the first, then this is something that I need to check out!
The plot revolves around the fact that the public now knows about billionaire inventor Tony Stark’s (Robert Downey Jr.) dual life as the armored superhero Iron Man. Because of this, he’s facing pressure from the government, press, and public to share his remarkable technology with the military. Unwilling to let his secrets slip, he forms alliances with those closest to him and confronts powerful new enemies. Trust me, the trailer is much more interesting than the summary.
Let me know what you think! Did you see the first Iron Man? Do you think that you’ll go to see the sequel?

Hey Preston Grove! You know, when any major award show comes around, I always sit and watch it with my best friend, my puppy, and a bowl of popcorn, trying to predict who will win each category. This weekends Oscars will be no different.
I’ve got my handy little OFFICIAL Oscar ballot guide, and I’m ready to roll. The Oscars are set to roll at 8 pm on Sunday, March 7th, on ABC. You can catch live, red carpet footage on Oscar.com.
I’m excited! The acceptance speeches (which I will making someday,
), the outfits, the tears, the surprises, I just can’t wait! I also can’t wait to hear all of your comments about the show on Monday!
Be sure to keep Facebook handy, because it’s going to be one of those nights!

No Outdoor Celebrations For St. Patty’s Day?

St. Patrick’s Day revelers heading to Savannah the weekend before won’t find an outdoor festival along River Street or City Market. I know, I know, it stinks. On the upside, the streets won’t be completely silent either.
Many of the local bars and clubs will be providing entertainment for the weekend before the green holiday. And even though there won’t be an ‘official’ outdoor celebration, I know that many patrons will take it upon themselves to bring in the holiday with a bang!
Here’s a list of some of what the bars and nightclubs have planned for that weekend:
- Live Wire
- 307 W. River St.
- (March 12 and 13)
- – Tubby Love and the Trio of Love with The Solour System
- – Turtlefolk with Junkyard Angel
- Wild Wing Cafe in City Market
- (March 12, 13 and 14)
- – The Double J Band
- – Tokyo Joe
- – Chuck Courtenay & Uncle Buck
- – Sun Domingo– The Design
- – Liquid Ginger
- Loco’s Grill & Pub
- 301 W. Broughton St.
- (March 12 and 13)
- – Blue Dogs
- – The Domino Effect
- The Jinx
- 127 W. Congress St.
- (March 13)
- – Damon & The S***kickers
- St. Patrick’s Day in City Market
